 Service Calendar Gets a New Absence Tracking Feature

In the latest update, we introduced the ability to add absences directly in the service calendar. This makes scheduling tasks clearer and gives dispatchers full visibility of the team’s availability for any selected time period.

 

Managing Absences in the Technician’s Calendar

Technicians have full control over their absences – they can track entries in real time, edit them, and categorize them by type, such as vacation leave, parental leave, unpaid leave, hospitalization, or short-term illness.

 

 

 

To add an absence, go to the calendar and click the “+” icon in the bottom right corner.

The button with three lines in the top right corner allows you to view a list of all events organized by week.

 

Dispatcher’s View of Absences

From the dispatcher’s perspective, technicians’ absences are clearly marked in the calendar next to each employee, making it easy to quickly assess the team’s availability. By selecting a specific entry, the dispatcher can easily view its details.

 

The introduction of the absence tracking feature allows for better management of team availability and more efficient task planning. Clear marking of absences in the calendar makes it easy to spot gaps in the schedule, improving workflow organization and reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts.
